| Michael Prescott: The Shadow Hunter | |||
Abby Sinclair hunts from the shadows, infiltrates the lives of stalkers, brings to light their darkest desires, and stops them before they can do their victim harm. Abby failed to complete her mission only once. Her one failure -- when her client fell to a rain of bullets from his stalker -- haunts Abby and makes her even more determined to save the latest object of a stalker's twisted desires. In this case, the stalker's target, a beautiful television news anchor, seeks help from Abby's employer. The stalker, Raymond Hickle, knows every move his frightened victim makes and wants to ensure that if he can't possess her, no one else can. He will kill her before he allows her to belong to another.
The fast-paced plot twists and turns like an out of control roller coaster, making the read irresistible, un-put-downable, and absolutely not a book you want to start late at night -- not if you have to work the next morning. Abby makes a great protagonist. Far from a superwoman, she certainly gained my admiration and inspired the hope that I will get to meet her again in another book.
