When a school girl crush and mysterious fires heat up the fall semester at Avery Middle School, The Fortune Teller's Club trio springs back into supernatural action with the second novel of Dotti Enderle's Fortune Tellers Club series.

Book: dotti enderle, playing with fire
Fortune Tellers Club member Anne hopes Eric, the cutest football player on the squad, will notice her and ask her to the dance. But so does the ever-irritating snob, Beth, who already staked her claim to Eric. Tension mounts as the two girls compete for Eric's affections. Unsure as to what the outcome will be, Anne Donovan and fellow Fortune Tellers Club members Juniper Lynch and Gena Richmond turn to their tarot cards. However, the answers prove too hot to handle. Could Eric be the one causing the fires?

When the police fail to solve the mystery, the close circle of friends become psychic sleuths and embark on yet another adventure. They vow to get to the bottom of the mystery before the whole school goes up in flames. Clues lead them to an amazing discovery: someone may hold the power of pyrokinesis, the incredible ability to start a fire by thinking about it!

Written in Enderle's easy-to-read style, Playing With Fire captures the emotions of three 12-year-old girls with an extremely intriguing and unusual hobby as they explore preteen life. Young girls will enjoy the fast pace and mystery of the series as they become further acquainted with interesting forms of occult.
